About Farluner Apps

GmailHamster.com is developed and maintained by Farluner Apps, a software company that creates top-rated Android, iOS & web apps to resize, compress, convert and create photos and videos.

Since 2012, we’ve been building reliable, user-focused apps for iOS, Android, and the web. Based in Warsaw, Poland, we combine technical expertise with a passion for clean, intuitive design.

GmailHamster.com's mission is to help users reclaim their digital storage space while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security.

How We Protect Your Data

End-to-End Encryption

All communication between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS encryption (the same technology banks use).

Temporary Processing Only

Your files are only stored on our servers while they are being compressed. We automatically delete them once processing is complete.

No Human Access

Your files are processed automatically by software. No Farluner employee can view your emails or attachments.

Secure Infrastructure

Our servers follow industry best practices for security (GDPR compliant)

What Happens to Your Original Emails?

ℹ️ How it works: GmailHamster.com replaces attachments directly inside your existing emails — no new emails are sent. The original email is moved to Trash automatically. Your inbox stays exactly as it is, just with smaller attachments.

How Email Processing Works:

  1. Select: You choose which emails with attachments to process
  2. Compress: Attachments are compressed using industry-standard algorithms — you can preview results and adjust compression level
  3. Review & Accept: You review the compression results before anything changes. Only after you click Accept does the app proceed
  4. Replace: A new copy of your email is created with the compressed attachments, preserving all original labels, thread position, and headers
  5. Reclaim space: The original email is moved to Gmail Trash. Storage is freed once Trash is emptied — either automatically after 30 days, or manually by you sooner

Compliance & Certifications

As an EU-based company, we follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right to access your data
  • Right to deletion (be forgotten)
  • Right to data portability
  • Transparent data processing

Google OAuth Verified

Our app has been reviewed by Google for security compliance:

  • OAuth 2.0 best practices
  • Secure token handling
  • Minimal permission scope
  • Regular security audits

For the full legal Privacy Policy including GDPR rights, data processors, and international transfers, see our Privacy Policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you see my email passwords?

No. We use Google OAuth, which means authentication happens directly with Google. We never see or handle your password.

What if I accidentally compress the wrong email?

The original message is moved to Gmail Trash after compression. During the 30-day Trash retention window, you can manually restore it from Trash — or empty Trash sooner if you want to free up storage immediately. After Gmail permanently deletes it, the change is irreversible. To avoid mistakes, always review the compression results carefully before clicking Accept. The app shows you a side-by-side quality comparison before anything is changed.

Do you keep copies of my files?

No. Files are automatically deleted after compression (typically within minutes). Maximum retention is 24 hours for technical cleanup purposes.

Can I use this for sensitive documents?

While we implement strong security measures, we recommend extra caution with highly sensitive documents (medical records, legal documents, etc.). Consider consulting your organization's security policy first.

What happens if your servers are compromised?

Even in a worst-case scenario, there's minimal risk because:

  • Files are only stored temporarily (minutes, not days)
  • All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
  • Processing happens in isolated containers
  • We'd notify users immediately per GDPR requirements
How do I delete my account and data?

Email farluner.help@gmail.com with your request. We'll:

  • Delete your account information
  • Revoke all access tokens
  • Confirm deletion within 48 hours

You should also revoke access in your Google Account settings.
